Amelia Earhart: The first women to fly across the Atlantic Ocean.

Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897, in Atchison, Kansas. During the war( World War I) she decided to become a nurse. While working as a nurse she enjoyed watching the planes do stunt acts. That was one of her hobbies. She took a ten minute plane ride and she knew from then on what her true calling was. To fly planes. She and her mother saved enough money for her to take lesions. After a few crashes and ten hours, she couldn't wait to let her wings go so she could soar the sky. One day a man named Captain Hilton H Railey, called her to see if she would want to join on a trip from the United States to England, with pilots Wilmer Stultz and Louis Gordon. Even though she was a passenger. she was the first women to cross the Atlantic ocean. After that trip, she flew to many new places being the first women to fly there. Amelia's last flight was June 1937. She was with Fred Noonan and they were setting out to fly around the world. Soon the coastguard lost track of them. They got one final call on July 2, 1937 at 8:45 am, Amelia's voice was described as frantic. The coastguard had searches everywhere for them and the plane, but found nothing. Their disappearance is still untold.

Amelia was an amazing person, who followed what she believed in. She took over in her life and did what she wanted. She wanted to do things that no other woman had done. She flew across the Atlantic, being the first women to do so. She set a great example for many people from then on. People started to believe in themselves and tried new things just like Amelia did. And that has changed our world. Over time we the people have changed by challenging ourselves. We have done extraordinary things that other people in the past wouldn't even think about doing, but this happens all to thanks to people like Amelia. Those kind of people make a new chapter in our growing world. People around the world probably heard her story and some might have been shocked, and thought that it was silly of her, but others were probably waiting for a chance for themselves to do the same. Amelia related to everyone everywhere, we all had a side like her in us that just wanted to follow our dreams too. And through time we have followed our dreams and we all look back to the people who helped us on our way. All the world needed was a few people to set examples for us and the we were on our way to a new time.
